I am reduced to a couple part days due to afternoon/evening commitments, but got out for a couple of hours today. Hit my best cover in NE Kansas, saw and shot two roosters that led the dogs a merry chase through a really tangled waterway, I mean thick!, both got up together, second year birds, I'm guessing. Saw no quail in areas where I moved 6 coveys last year. Saw no hens, all crops cut, birds in traditional cover. Wet early, drying nicely since I have to leave early! Some roads I would'nt try till freeze, and then early. Kinda feel like I might of shot the "last buffalo" in the county so to speak. Need to go way west, with more time. Satellite wifi is great! How did we live without it.

Started with a milo field 0 birds went 5 miles down the road and shot 4 birds on some grass done at noon. as we where getting out of the trucks about 50-75 birds flew in to the field.
