Season Opener

In Nova Scotia we get to start October 1st in some counties, then November 1st in other counties, finishing December 15th throughout. Of course, the best hunting is in the Nov 1 counties! :rolleyes:

Here in michigan, because we have Peninsulas, we have different start and stop dates. I'm in the lower peninsula and season here opens Oct 20 and stops Nov 14. Then reopens Dec 1 - Jan 1. These dates are for pheasant.

IN Nd it is Oct 11 and Sd is Oct 18. Both states run about 12 weeks. I think ND is 13 weeks actually.

I believe MN kicks off on the 11th as well and ends around Dec. 1 but it has been a long time since I hunted pheasants in MN. IA starts last Sat of Oct and runs about 12 weeks as well.

Bird numbers are looking very strong again this year in SD. Could possible top the 1945 high which we hit last year.

I was out mowing tonight and saw several broods and have been seeing quite a few in the am.
 
well like uguide said iowa starts last sat in oct runs to jan 10... so to itch the trigger finger i might go to SD or get some pinned ones to train my dads blacklab...
