Really doesn't matter... I'd even consider the UP if the deal was good enough.

No birds today, I can tell there have been a lot of hunters out with all of the new footpaths. Ran into a couple DNR guys checking licenses today and they couldn't tell me when birds were released last. Hopefully some are released this week.

gotcha. I didn't know if you meant "up north" as in northern wisconsin, or "up north" as in, north of southern wisconsin. i used this website to find my 80:

as for the number of hunters out....I am so happy that i do most of my hunting during the week! i have never seen so many pheasant hunters in my life as i did yesterday. crazy.

Hey guys, you folks over by the Lake might consider some of the public properties out to the western part of the state. Ran into the man who manages the properties and we talked about the condition (excellent), his plans (long term deliberate--gonna leave the wheat to over-winter), and some of the breeding history of the birds out there.

He mentioned the properties weren't getting the traffic they once did.

justsayin'

I've encountered folks from Bristol, and a group of guys from Sheboygan county.

Interesting because I can tell you the hunting pressure at the three PHG I hunt the most (bong, Tichigan, and Scuppernong) is WAY up in my opinion this year, even on the weekdays.

Second that at least with Scuppernong! That used to be my Thursday morning spot and produced great for me. Now I have people walking at me, even on Thursday's. Tried 3 times and have not gone back this year! I'd rather find less birds than get sprayed with lead while I'm out hunting.

Passed by Tichigan the first Sunday in November while I was headed out drag racing and I counted 8 Trucks in the parking lot (This was 2PM in the afternoon).
