i live in zip code 53079 and have a one year old GSP as well.
would love to see how he works with another good working dog.
I hunted the Kettle and Scupp last Sunday and stunk it up.
I ran an hrc test in bong this past summer and would really like to try pheasant hunting there. How does it work as far as a non resident going up there to hunt?
It looks like there's a lot of public land pretty close to you. That's a bit further north than I'd want to drive though.
Southern part of Kettle?

Looks like $42.75 for first time buyer Small Game license and $10 for Pheasant Stamp. Not sure what kind of hunter safety type paperwork you would need to display.

I own land in that zip code. On 23 and Pitt Rd where the pond is. (NW)

Small world.
If you ever need someone to check things out, let me know!
I have a buddy in Fondy who has hunting privileges. My Bro is in Milw area and he goes as well. I've seen birds around there. Don't know if their wild or released.
Mostly it's a good deer spot.
You ever see pics of that buck shot by Pipe?

I will be drinking beer pretty close to your land in a little while. My buddies have a hunting cabin off of triple T road. We coyote hunt down there too, lots of them around lately.
As mentioned, if for some reason you need something, let me know, of if your buddy needs help dragging out a monster!
Yeah, I saw that buck. I know the guy that shot it. Lots of big deer in the swamps out here, and especially over by Mary town (pipe). Thick stuff though. My real good friend shot a doozy in the mullet a few years back. Again, pretty close your land, across the highway on banner road I think it is.
As for the birds, the hunting club releases a ton of birds around here, but we also have some wild ones. Wild probably meaning released birds that survive. I don't care what anyone says, the released birds don't stay that way long. Lots of hunting pressure has them learn fast IMO.
Which bar do you hit? Always looking for a good one. I usually hit Swedes down in St. Killian. When I go to Packers games I always stop in Chilton at Calumet brewery. Pickled gizzards and beer baby! That's good Packers food.
I'm looking for some land up north if anyone knows of something available. 20-40 acres would suffice. Somewhere to hang a few stands and build a small cabin.
