Heading to Iowa for an out of state pheasant hunt Nov 17-19th2016. Anyone willing to give a Wisc and Packer fan a lead on a decent pheasant ground public or private for one guy and a really good Springer Spaniel. I used to hunt Iowa years ago North of Ottumwa and it was a lot of fun hoping to get it going again after 15yrs of not hunting the state because of no birds. Booked to stay in Ottumwa again, so hoping any leads are within 30 miles or so from there. Thanks for any contacts or advice you can share!:)
 
Just came back a couple of weeks ago from the Manchester area ( east of waterloo) a lot of standing corn, we found ours in the tall grass, the grass was very tall and thick and 4 dogs were of little use, as they had trouble moving around and they are English Setters. A good amount of walking in area and public hunting area. A lot of the farmers invited us to hunt their farms without us even asking, very nice people overall. Make sure you don't accidently stray off and get on private property even if it is not posted. Our group of 4 found out the hard way. Heavy cash fines and jail for out of state hunters.
