you will get a lot of good advice here......i can't help you with a trainer, but i would not release the pup until she is at least 4 months old. you need to bond with her and do some basic yard training, before you release her to a trainer.......IMHO V's are a little different. just my thoughts...go slow.

Aaron Gudahl at Sherburn Mn has worked with my Vizslas. Did a nice job. Just a couple hours east of Sioux Falls on I-90.

was very suprised to find a great trainer just outside of sioux falls in Hartford....have been doing sessions, about an hour long, two or three times a week...its actually working out great..feel like im learning more than the dog is...he does take dogs in and has a very nice kennel, but since he is so close i thought it was worth being involved, this way im there while training.....my little vizsla pup is getting better every time we go out....very excited. the trainer is experienced with many different breeds of gundogs. thought it would be nice to share since its hard to find a trainer that has experience with pointing breeds.

Joe Rodreguiz, R-Place Kennels is the guy he's talking about. Works closely with NAVHDA.

it's good to hear that things are coming along for you. being trained along with the dog will make for a nice seamless transition come hunting season. although this thread is kinda worthless without pictures. come on we want to see the little guy on point!!
