SD question

I don't know but it has a hypnotic effect on me. At least it does when your governor speaks it!o_O
 
I'm pretty sure it goes back to the radio call sign, KELO. There was (might still be) KDLO, KPLO, KCLO. Not sure exactly what those letters mean.

Captain 11 !!!! (It was on channel 11.) A long, LONGtime regional celebrity. Dave Dedrick was a KELO news/sports/weather man & Captain 11, which was the longest continuous kids TV program in TV history, 41+ years. Had an after school show every day with cartoons. Like right before Gilligan's Island, or something like that. Watched it every day.
 
"Those were the days my friend I thought they would never end." I'm 75 now living in Oklahoma, brings back great memories. My daughter's who are 49 & 50 still remember it as well. I remember David Dedrick speaking at the Northwestern HS graduation at Mellette in 1975 and he talked about the U.S. would covert to the Metric system.
