It's about that time of year where I start checking the crop report... I have to imagine things are well ahead of the average, but when I went to the website I typically use it seems as though they stopped updating it.. below is the link I always go to

Crop Report

Wondering if anyone knows why they're not updating it? A lot of times I base the timing of my trips off these reports..

Thanks!

Here is this weeks report. Talking to some of my farmer contacts they think the crop in their area is 2-3 weeks behind normal but that can change obviously. Also should be noted 77% f the corn crop is rated good or excellent as of 8-4. My guys expect with some heat here in August they may have record yields. Which is part of the reason corn is under $4 a bushel.

Yes, the same crop report you are talking about is the one I would go on. For whatever reason it stopped giving updates at end of May.

Possibly more items will come up missing with the new USDA structure. We certainly don’t need duplication, no idea if that is the case here. The recent satellite scheduled to be destroyed is also concerning, possibly there are alternates.

We have family members with the USDA, there will be changes ahead.
