I think all the Dickinson firearms are 28's.

I think you're right, I may settle since it will be a dedicated pheasant gun. The other issue is The Dickinsons LOP is a little long for me, I'd have to have it taken in a bit possibly. I know they're measured to the front trigger though so it may work.

I say go for it. I have one and love it. For me it was a good buy when I got it. Bought it from James Wayne out of Victoria, TX.. Mine came with a blue sock with the company name and logo on it.
