Yes indeed, very irish looking cover. Thank god I am yet to encounter any wee people

Is there public land to hunt or other options for an American?

In Ireland access to hunting is gained through asking land owners for permission to hunt their ground. This is normally done by offering to control pests on their land, I.e. Foxes, rabbits, crows & pigeons.

The other option is paying for shooting through driven pheasant shoots or walked up rough shooting. This would probably be the best option for tourists.
