A hunt club South of Dwight,IL. and North of Forrest,IL. will be holding their gun dog series again this upcoming year,starting January 23rd,2010.
There are divisions for flusher and pointer,puppy and adult dogs.
They're alot of fun, reasonably priced compared to others and Rooster Heaven Hunt Club is one of the nicest around.Rules and signup sheets are available a www.roosterheaven.com for those who might be interested.
 
Yes,they are very simalar to the show you see on tv,National Bird Dog Challenge but not nearly as competitive.
 
I talked to the owner of Rooster Heaven(Pat Harms) and he said that the January 23rd. tourney(Saturday) will be pointers only(lack of flusher entries).He also said there are a few openings for pointer adult and puppy if anyone is interrested to call him at 1-815-867-7567 by the 1-20.These events are alot of fun and a chance to extend your bird season!
