Can anyone tell me how the road conditions are in the NW, around Hays to Phillipsburg? I might have to drive a car to hunt this year. If there is precipitation how long does it take for the roads to dry out? Hunted around Great Bend a couple of years ago and the roads were good even when it rained. I herd the roads are pretty bad though farther north. Less sand and more dirt. Any info would be appreciated.

No matter the transportation, just need to get out and enjoy the outdoors before the new year gets started! If I can get just 1 covey of quail to jump it will be worth it. I know this is the "Ultimate Pheasant Hunting Forum", but I have always enjoyed quail hunting the most. Must be the Texas blood in me. So unfortunate that Texas quail population continue to decrease.
