Road conditions

I was planning on heading the pickup towards the west Wednesday morning for parts unknown. This recent rain has me rethinking that because I have no desire to fight the roads out that way if they are wet.
Does anyone have road condition reports or rainfall amounts for their local areas?
I'm not tied to any one part of the state so I'll go wherever it's dry!

We were out Friday when it was raining and they had over 2" in a 24 hour period. By Sunday the roads were ok to travel on for the most part.

I just got “out west” to hunt for a few days. Very sloppy right now in a lot of places. I opted out of hunting today. Don’t want to get stuck, or tear up the roads. Hopefully they dry out some in the wind tomorrow.

I saw some hunters were already stuck this morning. For the unmaintained roads, it will be weeks with the cold weather coming. Best to wait and let most of the roads dry out.

My son and one of his friends got stuck this morning after duck hunting. I'd guess vehicle inadequacy and 20-something-year-old brains had as much to do with it as road conditions, but it still happened. This website is useful for rainfall monitoring.

I got stuck frequently at that age and never looked at the gas gauge. We had 1.55 inches in Rush county. Looks like some more on Saturday, hope it keeps coming.
