My pals Grandpa went up the hill to shoot a ground hog for his dog and didn’t return that evening. Found him setting against a tree, gun cradled on his lap. His ticker give up. What a way to go.

I can give my own report from the past weekend. It was tough. Warming temps combined with the snow melt made them roads greasy.
Started off Friday at the first patch of WIHA encouraged, saw a bunch of birds. That excitement was short lived, spent the next couple hours bouncing from WIHA to WIHA looking for any scratch of habitat that would provide cover for any sort of life and found very very minimal. Regardless, i wouldn't trade getting out there and chasin birds for anything.
