results and success

I have to say that by the results and conversation, it seems that rather than last year, and maybe the previous year, got some reproduction, not stellar by any means, but at least a start. Young birds means that there is the ability to produce a wild population, needing the increased habitat for better numbers. I don't always see the glass as half full, but this seems encouraging.

I would say the previous two years there was a better hatch than this year. That is in western Iowa. Based on what I've seen and talking to friends. I'm definitely glad I moved. Went back and hunted with my dad on Sunday and numbers are real bad even with decent habitat. Saw one other hunter. Seen some roosters that looked so old they should be in a retirement home.
