Glad to hear that neither you nor your dog were bit.:eek: If I remember, you have an Irish setter, correct?:confused:

I was kind of thinking about the warm weather myself this past weekend.

There are a few birds out there, scattered....we need a good snow and cold to bunch them up. We hunted some nice spots and areas, however I truly believe the weather made it very difficult.

We will hit it again later in the year.....

Been out there for the last three days with my son. Birds are tough to come by but if you stick with it there are a few around. 15 roosters were shot at and only a few came home. I was letting my boy do most of the shooting until we ran into the quail, had of jump in at that point. Couldn't help myself. Beat part was we never saw another hunter and very few cars the whole trip.
 
Thanks for the update. I told my crew to expect the worst, and be read to hunt hard. It sounds like you and your son had a great time. I cannot wait to hunt with my boys.
