Removing Citori stock

91 Citori 3.5 inch Hunter. Two trigger guard screws out. Recoild pad off. The bolt was very easy to loosen. I tried the thing I read about loosen 4 turns and tap the screwdriver down on the table while holding the stock and screwdriver. It separated the same amount as when I just pulled with my hands with the bolt out. Separates about 1/4 i ch or so then its stuck. It appears the trigger guard is whats not moving. I read that the Grade Ii’s have a trigger guard that will swing to one side. This doesnt budge, and it is not a grade II. I am not a fan of the slamming it down on the table thing and felt like I shouldnt do it any harder. How can I get this thing off without making myself cringe or damaging something.

If you haven’t gotten any further, you might post your question on shotgunworld.com. Many, many people there with Citori experience.
