I don't even see how you're supposed to tell whether you're in North Dakota.

There wasn't a sign (that I saw anyway) on the road I was on, but I looked closely at the OnX app and noticed that place was just across the border.

If you just refer to both States as the Dakota Territory, then you don't need to worry about it.
