Thanks. No, the reblue was done by Simmons in Kansas City. It is a hobby of mine to take older shotguns and do some restoration on them. I just do the wood and recoil pads.Great job. Is the bluing on the 720 original? Now you have me thinking about my grandfathers model 11.
The engraving on this is much deeper than any other I have seen. The metal wasn’t very pitted, just worn, and I told them I was willing to stand some blemishes for keeping the engraving sharp.I had Simmons do 2 M12s for me back in the 80s. Ribs and blue. Always quality work. What struck me on the 720 was the sharpness of the engraving. Sometimes that gets lost on the redo.
