Reddish grass?

Sorry for the noob question... Have been hitting a few of the WIA around Holyoke and many of them have a tall grass with a reddish color to it. Anyone know what this grass is called? Just curious... Thanks!

Switchgrass i believe.

Crp is a mix of switchgrass, indiangrass and bluestem with a new emphasis on wildflowers and legumes to generate better insects for brood survival.Mature stands of CRP were and are great cover , but lacked the small insects that the gamebirds need to survive.:)

Thanks!

Thanks, guys. Yeah, it's pretty good stuff, have found a good number of birds roosting in the stuff this year. Only drawback is that I can't see my dog in it! I even put a blaze vest on her and she stilll disappears about 8 yards out. If she happens to get on a running bird, she's gone before I know it and the birds flush out of range... It's a bummer...

Yeah, I've found that to be a problem to. If it's not windy, you can just try to watch for the moving grass.
