Just got the truck cleaned out and loaded for pheasant season. Still have to load my personal effects and restock the 1st aid kit but it feels so good to have pheasant season so close. I am like a little kid on Christmas eve. I probably won't be able to sleep tonight!

Dogs have been worked all year long this year and are ready to go (even the new one). I have gone out and shot trap a few times so hopefully I will be a better shot for them. And the guy who's land I will be hunting said he is seeing more birds than he has ever seen on his property. On Tuesday he said he had 4 circles left to finish and hoped to get out a little this weekend with me.

24 more hours and I will be getting ready to go do one of my favorite things in the world. Watch my dogs work and point wild pheasant and hopefully fill my game bag. I am looking forward to watching the sun come up from the field!

Good luck to everyone else! Shoot straight and be safe. Bring lots of water for the dogs (and people) as it looks like it is going to warm one again.
