Question on Western NE

Yeah, I know this the CO forum - but the NE forum is lot quieter than ours and I figured a few folks on this one might have some insight on what happens just east of the border…

I'm taking the dog to Omaha on a business trip in a couple week, got client out there that's got some good land for us to hunt in his neck of the woods. My version of hitting the golf course with a client!

Anyway, going to stop in North Platte for the night on the way back. Looking at the NE website, they've got some walk-in/CRP areas just a short drive south of there, east of Wallace.

Anybody know the area? Are those CRP areas worth stopping at? My NE license is good for two days, thought I might try to use it. Or, am I better of just skipping it and saving the extra hours on the road?

Also willing to trade a case of wine for a day on private if anyone has any connections out there…

Thanks in advance for any input

Thanks, jc! If worse comes to worst, I can always head further west to Holyoke and work in more familiar territory…

All I can offer is that I visited North Platte over the summer to do some dog training with a friend and was surprised to see 5 - 6 birds about 5 miles east of North Platte.
