Quail around Wichita

Need to get some quail for the pup. You guys know of anyone around the Wichita area that has some this year? Thanks

what are you needing them for? you can do almost everything with pigeons, and pigeons are a lot easier to find

Thanks. Got a pup I need to get on birds. Never used pigeons before, may half to look into that.

Pigeons are good for training. They give off a scent just like any game bird and have a strong flush rather than a pen raised quail. But if you can get him on wild birds that can't be beat.

Dogs can sour on pigeons and sometimes PR quail are needed. Just depends on what stage of training you are at and what you have done with the dog.
