public land near Sioux Falls

I am a student at Augustana College and looking for land to hunt on weekends. Are the public lands around there hammered pretty hard? There are a couple of walk in areas around too? I pheasant hunt in MN, and never have been in SD. But since I can get a in state license here I figure I would give it a shot. Any suggestions would be great.
