Yeah, I bet they aren't happy.

Fishing is really hurting there now! Couldn't fish for Kings this year until Late and limits are reduced. Halibut have been declining and limits are reduced again. It is getting scary up there and there a lot of businesses that are holding their breath. Biologists can't figure it out yet, but over harvest is a culprit, although just one.:cheers:
 
That age old battle between commercial fishermen and sportfishermen rages on. When I was up there, you could catch/keep one king a day. Had to buy a stamp and all. I guess now it is one a season??

I loved catching reds on the Russian though:thumbsup:

I brought back a 150# of reds in 91. I was up in Bristol Bay near a town called Naknak helping a friend with his beach net sites. I was there for 3 months and had a ball living in a dirt floor cabin off the water 200 yds in the tundra.:cheers:
