Private Pheasant Ranch Suggestions

Hey all,

For Christmas I'm considering getting my Father and myself day passes to a private ranch for some fast pheasant hunting. Would be a great opportunity to get the dog on some more birds. She ripped her chest open on barb wire two weeks ago when we were hunting out by Holyoke and is ready to be back on the birds.

Any suggestions on good places? Trying to keep it as cheap as possible using my own dog and no guides. RMR seems a bit expensive at $200 a head. Any other ideas of cheaper places that are reasonable for walk-in and getting a descent number of pheasants?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Out by Wiggins, so not a long drive.. I recently "donated" a black GSP pup, that should be a hell of a dog.. would be interested to see if Ty has him trained...

+1 for steel fork. My dad is a member and I love the people out there. I dont remimber how much they charge though.

Steel Fork Pheasants, great folks, good flying birds, hunt all day if you want, great new digs.

You might consider us at Newdale Pheasant and Quail Club in Rocky Ford. Our all day hunt is $225 per gun and includes lunch and bird processing. Kids under 16 also hunt for free with a paid adult! Check us out on Facebook.

I like Steel Fork Pheasants too. :) Lots of acreage!

Actually, I haven't been to any place that I haven't liked.

We are headed to Laybourn's Hunt Club sometime in January - staying for the weekend. Nice guest house, very friendly, homey, quiet, etc. My wife and I went there 2 years ago and for the most part, we had the whole place to ourselves.

steel Fork Pheasants out by Rush Colorado. great folks and you have the field all day if you want.
