Pre-Opener Crop Report

Just got an update from our Old Bank Lodge Camp in Leola. They said they are done with beans and are starting on corn. That is quote a bit better than last year.

I was surprised when I tested my milo and it was ready to harvest at 14%. Things have dried down quickly and combines are going to town on the crops.

Looking forward to the 4th week at you place Chris, last year was one of the best we have had in a long time and with reports sounds like this trip should even be better------It takes a lot of work to provide the habitat to keep the population of birds your Pheasant Camp holds. I just got back from SD. There were a lot of combines in the fields today/this evening harvesting beans, some corn.

Wait till you see the place this year. 30 more acres of food plots and the 200 acres of CRP that got seeded last year really came in nice this year and did not have to be clipped at all. Looking forward to having you hunters run inventory on the place and see how the habitat produces. Also looking forward to meeting you guys first hand.
