Position limit question

Howdy all;

I'm going to be hunting Kansas for three days next weekend and then will swing through North Eastern Colorado to hunt on my buddies farm Monday / Tuesday. I know that our position limit is 6 birds, however how do the birds I'm going to be bringing (hopefully :D) from Kansas fit into that equation?

Thanks

They need to be put in a seperate cooler and clearly marked (Kansas) and cleaned and you should be fine. I would date the package too.

I once had the same question, first I would recommend calling DOW here in CO that’s what I did and got an answer that was basically you can hunt both and limit both as long as your total possession limit is not greater than CO possession limit. There is also a post talking about this http://www.ultimatepheasanthunting.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6462 Needless to say but DOW thought it necessary to say so I will pass it along, you must also have a CO hunting license no matter where you harvested the birds. Hope this all helps good luck out there.

I had the same question and emailed DOW... this is the reply.

Hi Jason,

Bag and possession limits are separate for states. If you harvest
pheasants in Colorado I would keep them separated in a sealed ice chest
with your Colorado license; and have another chest for the other state.

Thank you,
