Sorry I do not, I was looking at them back when I bought my first pointing lab. Just found out my youngest has to retire due to a hip problem. So I will be in the market for another one here in the new future.

Anyone has advice

Timwald first off welcome my friend:) Second, I guess no one has advice for you (LOL). I've seen tiger mountain advertisments and that's as far as it goes for me friend. Sorry:eek:

Have you tryed Googling for reveiws of their dogs by chance? Give that a try or just way a while and someone out there will pick up on your thread and respond.;) Good Luck with finding a new dog! --1pheas4

This is not personal experience but I have heard some posters on another forum speak well of Tiger Mountain. If you like PM me and I will give the URL to that forum.

This is a very general upland forum but there are quite a few well respected lab guys who frequent it. It would be a good place to post your question.

Be warned though many of them hunt the PL's as flushers instead of as pointers. They simply target the PL breeders because the labs coming from there tend to have better conformation and size for upland hunting.

Thanks to all. I have talked with john and he seems very upfront with me. I have seen some of his labs on youtube and they look great. I would love to have that URL also if you don't mind thamk.

Not much experience with that particular breeder but some of the pointling lab breeders do a terrific job in producing hunting retrievers that look like retrievers.

My advice would be to decide the sex of the puppy and the pedigree and characteristics you are looking for. I am partial to Riks Risky Raider lines, Black Forest lines, and Trieven bred dogs. Make color your last choice. If you eliminate blacks and yellows all together you are missing out on a opportunity to own a good dog.

What is the temperment of them. I have two small girls one is 2.5 and the other is 5 months so I need a Lab temerment. What is the cost for a female

If it's any help, my male came out directly out of Tiger Mountain & Jazztime on the dam's side & Black Forest on the sire's side. Not quite 2 yrs old & he's pointing this season.

Great in the house & hunts all day in the field. The only way I could afford him was I knew a guy who knew a guy who.......

I have a Tiger Mt lab. Tiger Mt Kalle turned three on Dec 2. She is a great hunting dog, and a wonderful house dog as well, but...she has bad hips. John Greer offers the best guarantee i have seen, and he does honor it, but I would rather have a healthy dog. I wouldn't mention it except I have also had experence with another of his dogs that has bad hips and elbows.

While I was in So Dak this year I ran into a fellow from Texas that had two of John's dog, and he also complained about health issues. One had an under shot jaw, and I can't remember what he said about the other one. I was dealing with a lost transmitter, and wasn't paying complete attention.

I have got to say that the reason I purchased a Tiger Mt lab was because of all the good reveiws, and I also had a chance to see several of them work, and they are fantastic hunting dogs that do point. I'm not saying you shouldn't get one, just make sure you have it tested before the time limit on the guarantee runs out.

Wow that's great info thanks so much. How soon can you get that check on a labrador. Get the hip amd eye clearance

Really! I thought those high dollar dogs were perfect. You get what you pay for. I expected those kind of problems from a newspaper dog that you'd purchase for $300.00. I thought that if you payed 1,500 bucks for a dog you would kill 5 times the birds more than you would if you had a $300.00 dog, or if there were lots of birds you would be done in 1/5 the time than say a $300.00 newspaper dog. Tell me it ain't so.
