Took the dogs to the river and brought along a Stevens 555 .410 that was my uncles. He would want a pheasant killed with it. I ordered trulok chokes for it Improved mod for Winchester diamond grade 7,5 turkey loads 3/4 ounce ( 11/16 weighed on the tube).
I am happy with the pattern. 75 percent at 30 yds. The first 2 shells printed high about 80/20. The third shell I shot a flatter bead to 70/30. I shot one shell from some old Remington express 3” 7.5s at 30yds. 120 some pellets on paper.
I picked up some fiocci tss turkey loads, my top barrel. 7 dollars a shell, I hope I don’t have to use very many of them.13/16ths I think. I shot 4 shells. Really heavy trigger. I think I was pulling the shot? I’ll have to check that out next time. Shot through a light mod Trulock tube. Trulock owes my a second back ordered light mod. I’m going to call and have them change it to a skeet. Wonder if it would be better still with cylinder. I don’t plan on stretching it out past 35yds.
