On the way to the Pines:

The Pines Recreation Area, Named well, From here West the Breaks are Pine covered.

Fishing was great at Nelson this past weekend. Fish were biting and the temperatures weren't too bad. Had a great time with the family.

Hows the water level doing?

Nelsons is a good place, good fishing.

Always a nice place to camp.

Water levels were between 5'-25'. Definitely down from the last couple years, but it's great to be able to fish there again. Water temp was around 70-74 so it was pretty warm. We tried to fish in 10'-12' water, but sometimes got into 6' while trolling. As a kid we always fished at Nelson or McGuire. It's been really good the last 3 years at Nelson.

Mt... Are those pictures from a recent trip or the one earlier in the year. Lots of green. If you need a cook/ bartender/life coach/personal shopper for those trips you know how to reach me.
Signed up to get the BMP maps today and it's still over 100 degrees. Time goes fast. Maybe it's because that light at the end of the tunnel has gone from a pinpoint to about golf ball size?:)

Pics are from the mid June trip. MT was very green at that time. Rained a lot while I was out there, wind and storms to. When it was nice it was really nice!
I hoping to go again next June, Your invited.
I'm going to be in MT again, first stretch in Sept with favorable weather, I'm gone.

It was pretty much that green around the 4th of July too. Central and NE Montana has seen a fair amount of moisture. Lately though they've had some nasty storms with hail and tornado's.
