PF seems to be on the move the past couple of years:confused:. Obviously that's a good thing:thumbsup:.

Anyway, below I've posted a link to an article discussing PF's next move to help address habitat loss in South Dakota. They're going to be opening a PF headquarters out there to help address massive habitat loss in that state.

Here's the link; http://www.pheasantsforever.org/page/1/PressReleaseViewer.jsp?pressReleaseId=121001

If anyone is interested in joining to help support PF here's a membership link;

Somewhere out there I have a thread discussing the SD governors "pheasant" meetings but I have no idea where it is so I'll use this thread:rolleyes:

Below are two links with a brief break-down of the last two meetings, though I believe they hand another one in June.

Things seem to be in the early stages with a lot of ideas being discussed on how to improve/increase habitat in SD.

I drove across northern South Dakota last week. Corn field after corn field with a dug out pond in the middle, high corn prices most likely the cause.

The livestock sector has never recieved much support, other than low corn prices in years past. Grazing animals don't see much in the way of government support, that could help return some of those pastures and hay fields. Economics what they are, it will be hard to seed many of those corn fields to forage crops.
