Pheasants - Cold?

Some of these turkeys nowadays are so high falutin' they live downtown. I think they roost in some high brow penthouse. They look down their beaks at the poor old country birds sleeping in trees. View attachment 10810
I always laugh at these turkey in town pics and think to myself they all must be in decent parts of the cities. I can't imagine they'd last too long in some neighborhoods 🍗

Extremely adaptable bird. Amazing that they were only re-introduced here to MN in 1971. They are an astonishing story of wildlife success.
And there's also the fun fact that pen raised birds were tried several times but couldn't survive. It took rocket nets to capture wild birds in MO and brought to SE MN bluff country for them to take hold in MN. Ruffled grouse were traded for the turkeys.
