Can anyone post a picture of pheasant poop so I can prove a point to a friend. He has a hard time believing that a pile that size came out of a pheasant.
I tried google images and believe it or not, no poop ( I thought google had everything). Let me give a verbal on what we were looking at. First of all there were several piles along the way in a real birdey area(brush along a creek). The poop pile was about the size of a medium dog pile. The color was redish brown with alot of seeds in it. The turds were about 1 inch in diameter, not real firm and broke up easily. No hair in the poop.
What you were looking at was most likely coon poo, maybe fox or yote. Their digestive systems won't digest seeds like chokecherry, Russian Olives etc. A pheasants digestive system won't leave any indication of seeds. What you will look for in pheasant poo are whitish and brown 1/4 inch X 3/4-1 1/4 inch straight or curled.
