Pheasant plucking

Each year we skin out our roosters but I would like to try to keep the skin on this year and that involves plucking the pheasants. I've done it by hand and it is a lot of work, but there are machines that will quickly pluck a bird that is scalded properly. Are there any outfitters or pay-to-shoot places that will run birds through their pluckers for a fee?

Look for a chicken plucker at a ranch store like Big R. Thsee machines have rubber points all over the inside of the machine that pluck the feathers from the skin. Never tried a pheasant but they are almost the same size as a small chicken. Good luck with this endeavor and let us know how a skin on pheasant tastes; good, bad, or otherwise!
