Pheasant Opener !

I'll be out early on Saturday and the weather looks good. I was planning on taking a day off from work during the week but it looks like rain for most of the week. I'll just save that day for later.

It's going to be very interesting to see how the new permit will effect the number of hunters, I don't know what to expect in that regard . It's going to be fun regardless and I can't wait ! Good luck and be safe!
 
I'm leaving tomorrow for our WI grouse hunt and will not be back till the 29th. So I'm going to miss the first week, so be sure and leave a couple for me :)
I'm hoping the hunting pressure will be a lot less after the first week, guess I can hope.....

The Pennsy Pheasant season to me is the beginning of hunting season! I look forward to few things as much. There is just something about the bird, the time of year, and the places he calls home that just gets my blood going! Watching a bird dog trying to unravel his sent and then experience the noisey explosion of colors is second to none. I was lucky enough to have hunted the heyday of wild birds and we still try to do and I can tell you honestly there's not that much difference! The dogs get just as excited and so do we!
