The birds aren't wild. They are bought as poults 7 weeks old & put in pens for 6 weeks to protect from predators. They are then released from the pen in 10/20 at a time over the course of a couple of weeks. We then start hunting them about a month later.so they are quite wild by the time we start shooting them and very wild by the end of the season.
