A1 Al’s Pheasant Ranch will be hosting pheasant hunting challenges on selected Saturdays in January, February and March.
In the challenge, teams of pheasant hunters will compete for team and individual prizes provided by A1 Al's and Sportsman’s Warehouse on each of the selected weekends.

In the challenge, teams of pheasant hunters will compete for team and individual prizes provided by A1 Al's and Sportsman’s Warehouse on each of the selected weekends.
Challenge rules and information:
- Each challenge hunt will have a maximum of 4 teams per Saturday.
- Each team may have maximum of 6 hunters.
- $900 entry fee per team. (6 person team = $150 each)
- Teams will hunt on 4 separate pheasant hunting preserve locations operated by A1 Al’s. Teams will randomly draw for their location.
- Each team will receive 2 boxes of shells (50 shells) to be used to shoot as many pheasants as the team can during the competition.
- Each team will hunt from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- The team with most pheasants at the end of the 3 hours will win $1200. In the case of a tie, the pheasants will be weighed and the team with the most total pounds wins.
- Each team is allowed a maximum of one hunting dog per hunter.
- There will be individual competitions within each team for a banded pheasant. Individual prizes for the banded pheasant are team specific and will be based on participation and contest entry fees.
- There will be a contest for overall longest tail feather of the day.
- There will also be additional raffles and door prizes available.
- No drinking of alcohol is permitted prior to/or during the competition. Drinking will result in a team disqualification.
- After the competition, there will be a social time with food and drinks at the lodge.
