pen size???

So I know that pheasants need 15-17 sg ft in a flight pen but how do chukars and quail need. Planning on raing a few of each this year and wondering how big of flight pens I need. Planning on 50 each pheasants and chukar. With the quail I'll probably just move them to johnny houses when they're big enough

I never have used flight pens for quail. Johnny house is so much more effective at developing flight condition. Flight pens I've seen are 6-12' wide and 100' long, and up on wire. Holds up to 500 birds. Seems like about 3 square foot per bird. If you don't know why they are up on wire let me know and I'll tell you. Just as an aside chuckars recall to a johnny house nicely too with a little effort, and a bigger funnel.
