Paw Care

Thought I'd pass this along. Boots don't work for my dog, but without some sort of paw protection, he spends half our hunting time biting ice balls out of his paws. Can't be good for him. Last year I found out about Musher's Secret. It's a waxy stuff, apparently food grade and "all natural". I cram it pretty liberally up between his pads & rub it all over his paws. Also in his armpits, abdomen & sac. Really helps minimize snow/ice build-up. I google it & buy it wherever's least expensive.

Yup, vaseline works too ... always fun to walk into a gas station late at night on the way to wherever you are headed, throw vaseline on the counter and say it's for my dog.

BTW, if you have a dog that is having paw problems or the pads are cracking, a week of mushers secret in the morning and the evening will have them good to go and then hit them with some Tuff Foot and their pads will be steelish.
