Paper atlas?

Call me a dinosaur if you want... When I'm hunting I prefer to have both a paper atlas and OnX going. Paper for big-picture stuff and notes and the OnX screen only showing a few square miles.

Anyway, I used the SDGF website's tool for requesting publication to request this year's atlas. That was a couple weeks ago and I still don't have it. Last year I requested one the same way and it never arrived. So, this year I decided to call. It seems that even though you can still request one via the website, they don't send them to the general public any more. But they send them to Scheels and probably many other license vendors in the state. Irritating.

My now-2-year-old atlas is even further out of date and falling apart.

Any suggestions about how to get a current paper atlas?
 
Pick up a current one when you can or call Scheels. Maybe I could mail you one. It would be a couple of weeks though before I can get them.

Every place in South Dakota that sells shotgun shells has boxes of the paper atlas and hunting guides available for free
If sdgfp won't send you one go to HuntFishSD.com or call them at 6052252414 they will send you lots of stuff

Yes, you can request one. I did that maybe two weeks ago. But per my phone call with the SDGFP yesterday, they won't actually send it. I think I'm going to request one and some other random publication every day for a while.

I'll call HuntFishSD. Hopefully they'll send me one. Since I'm in KS, I need to find someone who will send me one.
 
HuntFishSD is really the Aberdeen chamber of commerce. Amy was very helpful on the phone and followed up with the email below. I hope she's correct.
