Oops, Wrong Chokes

Had a heck of a time knocking down pheasants in NW on Saturday in the stiff wind. Stopped at a cousin's farm in NC on Sun. to hunt quail. Grabbed my bag of chokes to swap in cylinder and skeet for full and modified. No such chokes in the bag. Oh, crap! They're already in the gun from my last quail hunt. No wonder I had trouble getting the pheasants to fall. DOH!

Guess that's another thing to add to the checklist!

My problem with chokes is that I will put in an ic because we are in a "quail" field, then only flush pheasants and vice versa. Give me thick wide open grass #5's and modify choke and I will show you close flushing quail.
