One Weekend Left

Anyone going out for the last weekend of the season or the last day(s), Monday and Tuesday? I try to hunt the very last day so I will probably start Sunday on pheasant and by Tuesday be looking to fill my turkey tags. Addendum: Just booked my motel room for Fri. and Sat. in NW. Will stalk turkey locally on Tuesday, a must day to be afield. Good hunting to all.

Wrestling tournament, then wrestling fundraser....anything for the kids.

I'm sure I'll make a half-hearted attempt somewhere around home in the small window of time I may have. West KS birds were safe from me and the team this season, but they won't be so lucky every year:)

Best of luck to those of you that are making it happen this w/e! If you'd be so kind to take a few pics that will be my end-o-season action to remember:thumbsup:

All day Saturday, Sunday after church until dark, Monday after school, and Tuesday after school unless I get sick and then it will be all day Tuesday. Enjoy the last few days and be safe.

Heading to SW Nebraska, NW Kansas for the final four. I get both tags so I can hunt either side of the border in that area. Sad to see another season end.

Sad to see another season end.

Yep, that's the way I always feel. And then I start counting the days until the next season.

I really hate to admit this but I haven't been bird hunting for two years! I'm a waterfowl hunter at heart but generally I go upland hunting a few times a year but just haven't seemed to get around to it. But, I think I will go Sunday or Monday. I always tried to make it out last year when the bird numbers were good but just never did.

You must hunt! Seriously, hope you are able to get out. Good weather predicted for NW. ;)

I'm shooting for Sunday. Probably wont venture to far from the house. But it will be good to get out.

not quite sure where I'm headed- trying like all get to find some area with water- think I'll take the good sleeping bag and see just where some water and decent fields are-was going to go up arround stockton for a hunt and another reason- reason fell thru so-

couple hundred mile drive east and north could do it- think these Britt's would like a run where there's a bit of water- think they'd like a swim or two

Kansasbrittany- we'll have a good time and see about a picture to please you

heading out here in a bit- not to bad a time for a bit of play hunt till dusk- no wind- dang tumble weeds been blowing one way- then blowing back- not going to take a gun

enjoy this fair weather last few days- everyone who is going out- let the 1st rooster go- it's more like- nice point and flush- could of dropped it easy- what a way to end the season- you'll for sure remember- eh

I am planning to get out on Saturday and maybe Sunday around this area.
Then I am heading out to hunt with a buddy on Monday. He is taking pitty on me and my young setter, and is going to put us in a few quail.

We have had a really hard time finding quail around here this season.

I am heading out NW for Saturday. Then back home to college grind.

One Last Push

The dogs and I are headed out for a 4 day hunting excursion, Hitting walk in by Hays Friday, Saturday and Sunday private land around Gove then some private land by Hutchinson Monday. Tuesday recovery time! What a way to end the season!

Looks like I'm on grandson duty Monday after school, so I'm going out tonight (Friday) as soon as school is out to hit a couple of spots that are small but might have a bird or two.
