I stumbled onto a product that you guys might like. A couple years ago I bought a pair of Red Wings Pheasants Forever Legend boots. Comfortable as slippers but the pheasant hunting was taking it's toll on the leather. Some of the stitching and seams were coming undone so I sent back to the Red Wing company and then sent back with this horrid looking black tar stuff. I didn't like it at the time but it wore like iron. My boots still had some miles on them but a few more holes and leaks were popping up. about ready to toss them I checked with the Red Wing dealer and he now carried to goop but was out of it but had more coming in. I have since picked it up and performed my own miraculous repairs on my Red Wings and am looking to getting a couple more waterproof seasons out of them. The stuff really works good to prevent the breakdown of your toe material from walking through all the cover we pheasant hunters go through. Runs about $14 for a jar and it won't crack peel or chip and can be applied to just about anything.
