Old 28 ga ammo

Had a guy that hunts my land stop by today to do some free work for me---hey I let him hunt---. He had a new 28 ga auto and we shot it at some clays. He had a box of older ammo with him of mixed types and in it was a paper rolled crimp shell in perfect shape--its mine now LOL--it's brown in color marked Western Super X and Long Range Load Short Shot String. The paper end card is marked 6.

It's going in my collection of old ammo.

Geez Jim, it's hard to find any of the old paper roll crimped ammo much less in 28 ga. Good score! :thumbsup:

Too bad they're so rare. Maybe ammo companies could put an additive in modern shells to make them smell like the old ones...
