Old 28 ga ammo

Had a guy that hunts my land stop by today to do some free work for me---hey I let him hunt---:). He had a new 28 ga auto and we shot it at some clays. He had a box of older ammo with him of mixed types and in it was a paper rolled crimp shell in perfect shape--its mine now LOL--it's brown in color marked Western Super X and Long Range Load Short Shot String. The paper end card is marked 6.

It's going in my collection of old ammo. :D:D

Just reading about that ammo brought back fond memories . . .

Too bad they're so rare. Maybe ammo companies could put an additive in modern shells to make them smell like the old ones...
