Official forecast says Kansas pheasant, quail populations good...

Take it with a grain of Salt.

Things continue to look up. Great habitat, plenty of heavy cover with a minimal storm season. Living in the KC area I havent had a chance to get west yet. Just going off info received from family/ friends from Ellis Co. area.

I still believe it will be many more years before numbers are truly what Kansas is capable of producing.

The full report comes out thursday the 15th, will be interesting to see. I have heard anywhere from incredible numbers in the west half to really spotty in north central, but with all the rain who knows how easy it was to get on those dirt roads we all love when it rains out there to get a good count. Those roads are like driving on snot when they get wet lol
