Next Saturday our local club will be hosting our annual "cast and blast" for kids. What could be better than a hot breakfast followed by hunting and fishing? Then we will have lunch of course. The dogs should be ready since they've been running on some liberated hen pheasants.

Nice! How many youths participate ? Is the pond restocked ?
 
It warmed up quickly today but the dogs did well with finding birds. They all flew well and all the kids had shots at birds but none of them were able to connect. I'll be happy when we get a hard frost!
 
Well at least the kids had fun!
Yea, way to hot, NJ released birds for dog training and I had Chipper out, but cut it short because of the heat.

It needs to be cooler, doesn't feel like hunting season.
