Just got back from 2 and half day hunt. Had what I call a good day Friday, killed two roosters and 6 quail. Three dogs, 3 guys. Saturday went to different area that looked great, they were having a youth deer hunt so we hunted 2 hours and pulled out. No bird contact. Today went to an outstanding looking place, as usual, and saw one pheasant, no quail. Granted we only hunted it 2 or 3 hours, but I'm telling you this place had it all. Except for birds. I don't understand what's happening. Everyone has a theory, but no one really seems to know. Did run into a guy from Indiana that still comes out there every year for pheasant. Long haul for what we found. Never the less, had a great time. Btw, If Darin from Indiana reads this, send me a PM.
