Well I got my Kansas buck during Muzzleloader season and my Dads job as replacement ref NFL is over, so we should have a good time chasen the birds this season.......

* My dad did NOT make it on ESPN for making any bad calls but they did do a spot on him the other day for being a small town guy........... I think he has talked to more press the last two weeks than all of his 37 years of officiating football total!!!

Good luck this season guys and shoot straight,

Brandon

Nice buck!

I opened the picture of your Dad and about crapped myself. At least it wasn't the Seattle game!

That is one awesome buck.:10sign:

That NFL job will sure look good on your dad's resume!

Awsome buck crus. congrats for sure. :10sign:

On Inside the NFL they had 2 replacement refs on, both had said that they would not be able to coach again because of crossing the picket line. Is that true for your dad? If so he just gets to hunt more. :)

Buck

Thanks guys..... I saw my buck that morning on the other end of the bean field so that evening I set up at the other end hoping to get a better look at him and with some luck he came back out. I went an check my trail cams and he showed up about two days before I shot him.

My Dad is not effected by working as a replacement as he is retired from working college games (He does fill if they get in a crunch) and he just does HS games now because he just loves working games.

Brandon,
That is a nice one for sure. I too got my buck during muzzleloader (1st season with a muzzleloader) and also had my two kids in the blind with me for the first time. Very rewarding hunt. My rooster chasing buddies are happy that I got him and won't be missing any bird time to chase those damn deer around. That picture of your Dad is awesome!

I think I'm in the background of that picture. I sat 50yd line row 4 at Lambeau v the Bears which I know that shot is from. That pic is of McMillan making an int return from the far side and looks about to the 50 on that angle. Of course the fans are blurred but I'm probably in there.

Thanks Bryan, it was beyond what any words could explain working in the NFL. Now it is time to hunt. I hope we can get out together this season.

wow i am really impressed that buck is a dandy, and your dad being a ref is really cool!! By the way when bama and oregon meet in the national championship who do you think will win? Im not starting anything here though:D

That article on espn about your dad was really cool. I thought it was the best article about replacement refs that was done during that whole ordeal. :10sign: for your dad.
