I have a cheap vest and want a new one. I want something that hasa waist band to get weight off my shoulders. I am not afan of the water bladders would rather have one with water bottle holders. Any idea?

A lot of guys have recommended the Wing Works vest when this topic has come up in the past. I have also heard good things about the Bird N' Lite vest which will probably be the vest I get when the time comes to get a new one. Both of those vests have two pockets in the back to hold water bottles. Hope this helps.

I got the bird and lite vest last year and like it. I didn't want water bladders either and this vest has a place for two water bottles.

The Wing Works vest is well worth the money. It has two water bottle holders on the belt that are removable. They each hold a 32oz bottle(two bottles are included with the vest). There is also another pouch located inside the game bag that holds a 54oz bottle that you can purchase seperately or they now have two different sized water bladders that fit in that pouch. Two deep shell pockets, two other small zippered pockets on the belt and a large zippered pocket on the back of the game bag. It's a very well built vest with very durable material and it's made in the USA in Idaho. They also have many add on components for transmitters, camera cases etc. I love my Wing Works vest.

Thanks guys for the replies. Those Wing Works look really nice, pricey but would be the last one I would ever need. I watched a video of a guy reviewing the bird and lite and it looks good too. One thing I didn't like was it looked like it had padded shoulder straps and that could interfere with gun mount. It was hard to tell in the video though. Thanks again I haven't decided yet, I sure wish I could go to some store that had all of them in stock and try them on.

Well I ordered a Wing Works a few days ago and fed ex says I will get it today. Can't wait for September 1 to chase grouse, will give a review later, it looks like it has everything I want. :)

I don't think you'll be disappointed. They are a little more expensive than other vests, but I think their quality exceeds most other vests too.

Wow, wow , wow I just got my new wingworks vest in the mail today and I am impressed. The last few years I have had a cheap vest that as you put birds in it pulls on your shoulders. You hope the Velcro doesn?t loosen and you lose your birds. I have looked at all the brands and tried them on at various sporting good stores. Some the shoulder straps were too thick interfering with gun mount, some were too many straps, and too heavy empty.

I put my wingworks on and said ?OMG this is it!? fits great, high quality material, nice padded belt that puts the weight on your waist, not shoulders. Big water bottles, I am not a water bladder type guy. My dog looked at me like damn lets go hunting, I don?t care if the season isn?t open and it is 92 degrees. lol

I will also use this on jumping shooting ducks, so my only complaint would be the game bag may be a little small for all my mallards ☺ Come September first I will be chasing grouse saying why didn?t you do this years ago. Nice product and made in Idaho. 10 out of 10.

Love my Wing Works vest!!! I seen they list for 260.00 Dont think I spent that much for mine a couple of years ago.

Got mine for 220 plus 10 shipping so 230. I never got any add ons like pistol holster or GPS holder. They are spendy, but I like hand made in the USA. I am not a rich man (AKA public school teacher) but I will spend a little extra for something that will last and fits me right. It is like binoculars some guys keep upgrading or you can spend more once and be done with it.
